Reason for request:
As a resident of Surrey, I often travel by car and public transport, and many other international students mostly travel by bus to go to work and college. Due to snow, we usually arrive late. I wonder why the city of Surrey does not take action based on weather forecasts to clear the snow before it affects transportation. I want to check how many other people face problems in the snow, like people met with accidents, getting stuck in the snow, and also, can't even go outside their homes. Due to this, people must have filed complaints. With that, what kind of problems are people facing in the snow?
I want to compare the data of 2022 snow with 2023 snow, checking whether the complaints made in 2022 were addressed and whether residents' concerns were adequately addressed to improve the 2023 snowfall situation. This comparative analysis will allow me to track the total number and types of complaints, providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of snow management strategies and can help me in writing an article.

This is a super interesting topic, I've wondered the same thing myself. I feel like it should be obvious to prepare for the snow since it comes every year, so I'd be curious to know what information you get back about this!
ReplyDeleteThis is a good topic, especially with how much the weather seems to have affected us in recent years. As I'm sure will be mentioned, just getting the number of type information will make it harder to frame a story, perhaps asking for the details of the complaints would reveal more interesting information.
ReplyDeleteThis FOIA request demonstrates an intentional effort to resolving issues with Surrey's snow management policy. In order to evaluate how snowfall affects transportation and community well-being, the requester is looking for statistics on snow-related complaints from 2022 to 2024. It is admirable that a comparison study based on the data collected is being planned in order to promote better snow management techniques and raise community awareness through possible article writing.
ReplyDeleteHello Abhishek, I thought your idea is interesting as somebody who has had to push stuck cars out of shopping malls in Surrey. I am sure the city could be doing more to salt driveways and things of that nature so great topic choice. One way to improve the blog post would just be to double-check check all capitalizations have been done correctly. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHi abhishek , well written I wonder how you deep think and write about it . public transport in weather like snow is really a big issue every person who use public transport while they got stuck. I am fully agree with you brother.
